My worst offender recently was Nero Scout which was hogging about 50% of the CPU Usage because I have a lot of files. Ditto Windows Defender, Avast and Adaware. Sorry, but that's why I have used Firefox ever since I can remember and I still use Firefox to this day. Cutting out aolsoftware.exe (often two or more running at the same time) frees it, but then authentication will time out, you won't get access to e-mail, then later you won't be will do.
