Followed your instructions & used the CD to Boot my System (by the way, I used F12 to access disc). General Discussion computer locking up and or running VERY slow..hello I have a HP Pavilion desk top. Installed Irfan and it works like a charm. First chance I get I'm switching her over to Kubuntu. Her laptop NEVER comes back from hibernation properly…unless she gets there like 5 minutes after it goes to sleep.

Nope. I think it over wrote some of the Windows boot files. did that, thinking i was doing the sensible thing and then it just froze on a black screen. That's about all there is to it… you now have your very own Vista Recovery CD.
