There should be an automated way to back up Favorites, why does Microsoft not provide it? You could export the key from the computer that has your favorites and then import that key into the target computer. But more than likely that is just as bad as sorted. It is possible they will repopulate with some of the same favorites that were previously in the list but I just repeated the deletion process, I used the manual method each I agree that alphabetical isn't the most practical way - the favorites I use the most are the ones near the top where they are easiest to get to. From the File menu, choose Export3.
