Modern OSes are RAM-hungry and the more you have the better off they are. Scan all system by updated virus to make sure it is not infected. It is running slow now ... I have attatched the hijack this log from a scan on the computer.

The Task Manager should tell you if anything like this is going on. Check your event logs around the time the machine pauses or the time you manage to unpause it for errors/warnings/messages regarding this (or other issues). I found it to crash with bad image messages as it's indexer read a file it couldn't handle. have a peek at these guys When that app became "really slow", I went and ran a defrag analysis and discovered that, usually, one/both of those files were ~85% fragmented.
