If you've done the research and know that you don't have any accounts with blank passwords and know your share permissions aren't open and nobody has messed with your system, this I'm sure it does contain a dozen or so fixes for known vulnerabilities, and in that sense, and I'm sure for computer systems overall, it is more secure.
