Some legit software is very intrusive and hogs resources (symantec, aol, etc.). Been doing the same things too. Malwarebytes worked well as a manual virus scanner that I could use in addition to the school supplied antivirus software, which was slow, and hard to update.

Sometimes you may need to uninstall software and reinstall it due to a missing file or a registry entry.Also, try not to run a whole bunch of clean utilities one-after-another or You do not need to defrag an SSD because there is no read head to relocate when the controller wants to access the next file fragment. It started after a malware program hijacked my computer + pretended to be anti-virus software, preventing me from opening any programs. I use Image For Dos (IFD) by BootIt, and it works great.

I'm looking forward to a new computer, but for now I am thrilled that I have been able to keep mine running cleanly and efficiently for 12 years. That's absurd. I have been a loyal System Mechanic Pro person for the past few years, this program updates daily and does IT ALL. Vivre, you should try this too might work for you as well.

A case like this could easily cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. The number one features of all utilities and anti viruses are they are software that give the end user the ability to do all the cleanings and utility work very easy, Not just on my own equipment, but on my clients as well.
